Mad Ellie (2006-)

Chim↑Pom is made up of six members. Eccentric Ellie teases the other five male artists on a daily basis and forces them to confront the true essence of things. Regardless of their theoretical arguments, the feeling is similar to being “stripped down naked.” Since the formation of the group, Chim↑Pom has been “captivated” by Ellie, who inspires them to create many different projects. Even though Ellie shares some similarities with art history muses, feminists and pop culture icons, Ellie’s nature stays incomprehensible. This series aims to visualize this fascination. As the members “strip down naked,” Ellie’s existence can be used to strip the society naked through art. In fact, this ambiguous feeling is the reason behind the formation of Chim↑Pom: its career started with ERIGERO. This is also Ellie’s lifework.
