Yukihiro Taguchi, Tsubasa Kato : Human Tides | A video programme presented online and at FNB Art Joburg

September 1-4, 2022
Venue: Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa

SOUTH SOUTH presents the second collaboration with an art fair in the Global South, with a video programme titled Human Tides, to take place both online and at FNB Art Joburg in Johannesburg. The programme features the work of 17 artists primarily from Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and the Diaspora, and explores the scope of human and cultural influence over the course of various ecosystems, considering absence and amassing, myth-making and mythology. This programme, following on from our collaboration with SP–ARTE in São Paulo earlier this year, will form part of FNB Art Joburg’s ORG section, which looks to redefine how people engage with organisations that were established for the good of the public. From 1-4 September 2022, it will also be available online on our platform for those who will not be in Johannesburg for the fair, as well as those who would like to explore it in depth.
