The soundscape is divided by the water surface, a thin membrane (in other words, the two different sound worlds are bonded by the water surface). Likewise, when it comes to a record, it can be said that the front side and the back side are divided/bonded by the record, a thin plate.
Turning it over, thus, also means reversing the relationship of worlds.
