The object in the center is a day's meal for me, a poor dweller. It is instant noodles.
In Japan, it is said that majority of people belong to the middle class. In other words, most people in Japan do not experience the life of the underclass or the life of the wealthy, and they can only imagine it. I wondered if I could create a work that combined this sense of imaginary fictional events with the reality of my own life as a poor person.
I think it is something where you can sense a little bit of emotion in the artificial plastic-like colors and shapes, which means that this work, at least to me, seems to represent a state where you can only imagine others, but cannot become them.
